VISITS AND TRIPS
Sunday 10 to Wednesday 13 May 2026
Cardiff and South Wales
A 4 DAy/3 Night residential VISIT
Confirmed as the Welsh capital as recently as 1955, Cardiff’s wealth was founded on its status as the world’s major coal-exporting port. Profiting from its links with the South Wales mines, grandiose architectural schemes were commissioned in the heart of the civic centre whilst the docklands gained notoriety as a raucous boomtown.
From our base in the capital we will explore South Wales and its art and culture, where modern is juxtaposed with old, and the story of its history is revealed through its castles, cathedrals, museums, and galleries.
