Twelfth Night Lunch 2027

Digby Hall, Sherborne

Tuesday 6 January 2027

12:30 for 1 pm

To mark the end of the festive season we are repeating our popular 12th Night  lunch. After drinks  and canapés on arrival there will be a delicious 3 course meal, produced by Helen Furness and her team.

Menu

The menu will be published here when finalised. There will be vegetarian options

After lunch Jenny Newman will continue the tradition set by Julian Halsby with a short talk focusing on a painter, movement or school of art that is perhaps less generally known, less on people’s horizons. The Hague School is a collective term for a group of painters active in The Hague between around 1860 and 1890. They had either trained together or known each other through artistic association. Most leading members of The Hague School had travelled and practised their art abroad.

The Hague School – Holland’s answer to the ‘Barbizon’ School (also The Amsterdam Impressionists).
